Given all the fanfare for the LEGO Group’s first foray into the Star Trek franchise last November, you wouldn’t think we’d have to wait nine months for the sequel to 2025’s impressive USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356) set<\/a> \u2014 but today, fans finally get one.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series, LEGO is sticking with the same ship, going back in time, and literally taking it to the bridge. The LEGO Icons Star Trek: USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge (11385)<\/a> is an inspired 1,701-pieces, and offers an open-faced set-up that plays to its on-screen presentation, much like LEGO’s Seinfeld (21328)<\/a>, Friends (10292)<\/a>, and Queer Eye (10291)<\/a> creations.<\/p>\n

While I personally hoped my beloved Deep Space Nine would be the next Star Trek series to be chosen for the second LEGO release, you just can’t argue with the deck of the OG, which is probably the most recognizable location in its universe.<\/p>\n

It also comes with an absolutely iconic cast of minifigures \u2014 eight brand-new characters, plus a bunch of Tribbles for good measure.<\/p>\n

First things first: the set absolutely nails the color scheme, to the point you could identify it from 50 yard away. It’s spread across the ship’s bridge and transporter room and has plenty of nods to the classic series, including computer stations, a transporter platform, and a viewscreen with a LEGO Klingon warrior.<\/p>\n

It’s a modular design, meaning there’s flexibility in how you display it \u2014 ideal, if you wanted to recreate your own single-camera filming set-up \u2014 and there are three interactive elements:<\/p>\n

The captain’s chair can be rocked to “simulate ship turbulence and battle sequences”<\/p>\n

A dial activates the transporter and moves crew between pads<\/p>\n

A lever opens the turbo lift doors (though you’ll have to make the noise yourself)<\/p>\n

Alongside the eight minifigs, with the likes of Kirk, Spock, and Bones, accessories include two Starfleet communicators, four phasers (an all-new LEGO element), Spock’s harp, two Vulcan Lirpas (still one of the best weapons in the series, and way less likely to injure the user than the Bat’leth, IMO), and a Trident Scanner.<\/p>\n

At 11.8 cents a piece, it’s a little pricey, especially as there isn’t a gift with purchase (which feels rare for modern LEGO sets of this size in 2026, e.g., this week’s LEGO <\/a>The X-Files<\/a>). Yet with any release like this, the minifigures alone will command good resale value for the build, but only as part of the full set.<\/p>\n

I know a lot of people now have the habit of selling the wider build and minifigs separately (not that I agree with the process \u2014 you’d never believe how many hours I’ve lost to eBay “bargains” that quietly mention they’ve removed the little fellas) \u2014 but while larger display sets can look perfectly fine without them and are happily bought by those who prefer to save a good few bucks (e.g. the UCS Falcon or, indeed, the first Enterprise set), nobody’s going to buy an empty Star Trek TOS bridge.<\/p>\n

Let’s guess again at what’s next for LEGO Star Trek. Me first: Deep Space Nine. If I keep saying it, maybe it’ll come true.<\/p>\n
