Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO<\/a>, Financials<\/a>), a maker of diabetes and obesity therapies<\/a>, wants a U.S. court to issue a preliminary injunction to halt rival Eli Lilly’s advertising.Novo accused Lilly of violating false advertising and unfair competition rules with its Zepbound and Mounjaro campaigns for obesity and diabetes treatment respectively.Lilly said Novo compared the highest approved doses of its medicines to lesser doses of Wegovy and Ozempic, while leaving out newer, higher-dose versions of Novo’s products.Novo said the comparisons give a false impression that Lilly’s drugs work better.
