{"id":139542,"date":"2026-08-03T07:09:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T07:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/139542\/"},"modified":"2026-08-03T07:09:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T07:09:16","slug":"autonomous-driving-chinas-weride-enters-denmark-extending-european-footprint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/139542\/","title":{"rendered":"autonomous driving: China&#8217;s WeRide enters Denmark, extending European footprint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/autonomous-driving\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">autonomous driving<\/a> technology company <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/weride\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WeRide<\/a> said on Monday it would enter Denmark through a partnership with Danish electric mobility operator <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/greenmobility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">GreenMobility<\/a>, extending its European footprint to a sixth country as Chinese self-driving firms accelerate overseas expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Europe has emerged as a key growth market for \u200cChina&#8217;s autonomous driving \u2060companies, \u2060following an earlier push into the Gulf region, as they seek to \u200bcommercialise their technology beyond their home market amid intensifying competition and regulatory scrutiny.<\/p>\n<p>Under the partnership subject to regulatory approvals, WeRide and GreenMobility plan to launch a public <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/robotaxi-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">robotaxi service<\/a> in the first half of 2027, according to a company statement.<\/p>\n<p>The move \u2060follows WeRide&#8217;s \u200cexpansion into Spain and Slovakia earlier this year, \u200badding \u200bto autonomous driving deployments in France, Belgium and \u2060Switzerland.
