COPENHAGEN, March 10 (Reuters) – Denmark’s Vestas (VWS.CO), opens new tab<\/a> said on Tuesday it has received a \u200bfirm order for German utility \u200cRWE’s 1.38 gigawatt (GW) Vanguard East offshore wind project in Britain.<\/p>\n

The order supports \u200bBritain’s advance towards its 2030 \u200bclean power targets and the wider \u2060energy transition across Europe, Vestas \u200bsaid in a statement.<\/p>\n

The order \u200bincludes 92 Vestas V236-15.0 megawatt wind turbines, with Vestas responsible for the supply, delivery, \u200band commissioning of the turbines.<\/p>\n

Upon \u200bcompletion, Vestas will also service the turbines \u200cunder \u2060a five-year comprehensive agreement followed by a long-term operational support agreement.<\/p>\n

The project site is located off \u200bthe coast \u200bof Norfolk \u2060in East Anglia.<\/p>\n

RWE is currently targeting a Final \u200bInvestment Decision for Vanguard East \u200bin \u2060summer of 2026, with deliveries beginning in the fourth quarter of \u20602028.<\/p>\n

Commissioning \u200bof the project \u200bis expected in 2030, the company added.<\/p>\n
