Dense white ice packs the mouth of Ilulissat Icefjord to the east. The ice comes from Jakobshavn, one of Greenland&#8217;s most active iceberg-producing glaciers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the day this satellite image was acquired, a large iceberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/videos\/cdx7lg950gdo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">turned over<\/a> off the town of Ilulissat, generating powerful waves near the coast.
