A police<\/a> investigation has been launched after activists vandalised<\/a> a logistics firm in Glasgow, which they claim has links to Israel.<\/p>\n

The group targeted DB Schenker, part of DSV, which they allege provides “logistics transport services” to Israeli defence technology company Elbit Systems.<\/p>\n

Activists say they by-passed security in the early hours of Tuesday and covered the building’s foyer and offices with paint and messages saying “Drop Elbit” on the walls.<\/p>\n

Pictures from the scene also showed broken windows at the building, which is in the Hillington area.<\/p>\n

The group said the action came after incidents targeting DSV at Birmingham Airport and Bristol earlier this year.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Glasgow group said: “As long as DSV and its subsidiaries maintain their contract with Elbit Systems, property damage and disruption will continue.”<\/p>\n

The autonomous group said dropping Elbit could be DSV’s “wisest logistics decision yet”.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6am on Tuesday August 4, police received a report of premises in Mossland Road, Hillington, Glasgow, having been vandalised.<\/p>\n

“Inquiries are ongoing.”<\/p>\n
