SCHENECTADY\u00a0– Police found a 60-year-old fugitive in Schenectady who is accused of stabbing, robbing and attempting to trap an individual in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n
Police said the suspect, Larry B. Lee, was arrested on Close Street in Schenectady on Friday nearly two weeks after he allegedly stabbed a person with a kitchen knife and stole property at a home on Hempton Street in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n
Amsterdam police said officers responded to a report of an assault at the home on July 26. The person who was injured told police Lee punched them in the face and stabbed them in the arm while they were trying to leave, police\u00a0said in a news release. Lee was also accused of blocking the doorway of the residence to prevent the person from leaving and then stealing property before fleeing the area.<\/p>\n
The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Forces helped local authorities locate Lee. He has been charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree robbery, and two counts of criminal possession of cannabis, felonies. He was also charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor.<\/p>\n
Lee was arraigned by Judge Lisa W. Lorman in Amsterdam City Court.<\/p>\n
He is being held in the Montgomery County jail without bail.<\/p>\n
