Panache Digital Games has announced that 1666: Amsterdam will launch in Early Access on August 25 for PC.

In case you missed it, 1666: Amsterdam is a dark, story-driven action-adventure game led by Assassin’s Creed co-creator Patrice Désilets. Much like the modern-day and historical split in Assassin’s Creed, 1666: Amsterdam explores different time periods, where players control Noa, the “Collector”, tasked with hunting down demonic entities hiding among humans.

Along with the announcement, the team also released a new video showing off the core gameplay systems players will experience as Noa and Aaron, a man summoned from 1999 who now sees the world through the eyes of a cat. In it, Co-Founder and Executive Producer Jean-François Boivin offers the most in-depth look yet at the game’s investigation mechanics, as players hunt down the mysterious Originals across Amsterdam.

It also shows off combat, the day-and-night cycle, Noa’s mystical abilities, Aaron’s feline gameplay, and how the two characters can combine their unique skills to “uncover hidden truths and restore the balance of the world”:

1666: Amsterdam has had a long and troubled development, but that journey is finally coming to an end.…

[101
199,200,38,68709,24335
post-143709","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-amsterdam","tag-amsterdam","tag-netherlands","tag-news","tag-unreal-engine","tag-video-games
["GET
