{"id":144150,"date":"2026-08-12T07:57:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T07:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/144150\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T07:57:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T07:57:12","slug":"wind-turbine-maker-vestas-sees-rise-in-second-quarter-revenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/144150\/","title":{"rendered":"Wind turbine maker Vestas sees rise in second-quarter revenue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabilityonline.net\/tag\/wind-turbines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Wind turbine<\/a> manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A\/S has reported revenue of \u20ac4.7 billion in the second quarter of its financial year, a 26.1% increase on the same period in 2025, according to its latest interim report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Aarhus, <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabilityonline.net\/tag\/denmark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Denmark<\/a>-based firm reported EBIT before special items of \u20ac446 million in the period, giving it an EBIT margin of 9.4%, compared with 1.5% in the second quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its performance was driven by a significant 67% increase in <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabilityonline.net\/tag\/wind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">wind<\/a> turbine orders, with the value of its wind turbine order backlog standing at \u20ac36 billion as of the end of June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company also reported service agreements with expected contractual future revenue of \u20ac40.9 billion, bringing the total value of its order and service backlog to \u20ac76.9 billion, a \u20ac9.6 billion increase on the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elsewhere, wind turbine deliveries to customers were 25% higher in the period, primarily driven by higher deliveries in the EMEA region. As of the end of June 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabilityonline.net\/tag\/vestas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Vestas<\/a> had installed a total capacity of 207 GW in 88 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Profit guidance<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vestas raised its 2026 guidance, noting that while it expects revenue to come in at between \u20ac20 billion and \u20ac22 billion, the expected EBIT margin before special items has been increased to between 7% and 9%.
