\ud83d\udce2 Update (August 12, 2026, 10:00 AM CET): What timing: no sooner had we wrapped up our post than the crossover between the Star Wars universe and the Marvel Comics universe was officially confirmed. Over on Starwars.com<\/a>, we now not only get the announcement of a five-issue limited\u00a0comic series by Kevin Smith with illustrations by David Marquez, but also some teaser artwork.<\/p>\n

To mark Star Wars\u2019 50th anniversary, the comics are set to release starting in January 2027 under the title \u201cHope Assembles\u201d. That, of course, dramatically increases the odds that there\u2019s something to the rumor about the LEGO Iron Falcon (75481) and that it could arrive around the same time. Original post: What happens when you cross Star Wars and Marvel \u2013 and we mean literally? That\u2019s right: You\u2019d end up with \u201cSpider-Han,\u201d Hulkbacca, or Captain Alderaan, who, according to current rumors, are set to actually show up as minifigures next year in a crossover between LEGO Marvel and LEGO Star Wars \u2013 specifically in the \u201cIron Falcon\u201d (75481). We\u2019ll try to picture the set that\u2019s making the rounds in the rumor mill and round up all the info for you in this post.<\/p>\n

After learning last week about a massive LEGO leak<\/a> with tons of planned sets for 2027 and 2028, and with the LEGO Star Wars 2027 rumors<\/a> piling up lately, things are getting even \u201cwilder\u201d in the rumor mill. According to the buggyleaks<\/a> channel, there\u2019s supposedly going to be a crossover between LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Marvel in 2027, resulting in a LEGO Iron Falcon (75481).<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the deal with the Star Wars x Marvel crossover?<\/p>\n

Merging the Marvel universe with the galaxy far, far away is probably more than just a spontaneous idea for a LEGO set. That said, there\u2019s no real basis for it from Disney\u2019s side (yet). Of course, various LEGO Star Wars animated series for kids have already turned the original Skywalker saga \u201con its head\u201d in amusing ways more than once. The \u201cwildest\u201d form of this so far is likely the \u201cRebuild the Galaxy\u201d series, which already spans two seasons and gave us sets like the Dark Falcon or a TIE Fighter & X-Wing mash-up. However, that \u201conly\u201d blended characters and spaceships from Star Wars, not THE two big Disney franchises.<\/p>\n

Back in February 2026, bleedingcool reported rumors that British writer Mark Millar was supposedly working on a crossover comic under the banner \u201cStar Wars vs. Marvel,\u201d but that was soon dismissed as not credible by different other sources. So (as of now) there\u2019s no concrete source material for LEGO to base the rumored set on. But that could theoretically still change, just like the still very vague release date. Whatever becomes of the \u201cIron Falcon,\u201d we\u2019re staying tuned and will report here on the blog as soon as there\u2019s news on the topic.<\/p>\n

What we know about the Iron Falcon (75481) so far<\/p>\n

The rumor specifically mentions an \u201cIron Falcon\u201d \u2013 so presumably a mash-up of the famous Millennium Falcon and the arsenal of flying machines owned by the head of Stark Industries, Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man. We don\u2019t have any details yet on the price, piece count, or exact release date, except that the model is supposedly releasing in 2027 and will carry (at least) five minifigures on board.<\/p>\n

\u201cWar2-D2\u201d: Things could get interesting when mixing the LEGO War Machine with the much smaller and differently built R2-D2 droid figure.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpider-Han\u201d: With Spider-Man and Han Solo, on the other hand, the mash-up could be pretty simple, since Peter Parker ultimately looks like an ordinary person underneath his suit anyway. But the question is: Who will the \u201cIron Falcon\u201d belong to then \u2013 \u201cSpider-Han\u201d or maybe \u201cIron-3PO\u201d? We\u2019re staying tuned!<\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain Alderaan\u201d: Mixing a Marvel character like Captain America with the home planet of Princess Leia, Alderaan, could be pulled off, for example, with a special print on the shield.<\/p>\n

\u201cHulkbacca\u201d: In both \u201cuniverses\u201d the biggest and (at least in terms of muscle) strongest team members, but not exactly the most talkative \u2013 Chewbacca and Hulk.<\/p>\n
