Revolut said the lounge will be the airport’s newest flagship facility and the largest common-use lounge in the Schengen area.

The Copenhagen site will be delivered with Plaza Premium Group, which Revolut has appointed as its operating and investment partner for the Copenhagen Lounge. Plaza Premium Group operates what it describes as the world’s largest airport lounge network, with its Plaza Premium Lounge brand having received Skytrax’s World’s Best Independent Airport Lounge award every year from 2016 to 2025.

Hadi Nasrallah, director of product GP and New Bets at Revolut, said Copenhagen was a “perfect fit” because the city is aligned with the company’s design ambitions and the Nordic region is a key growth market. “We’ll strive to set a new standard for airport hospitality across Europe and bring more unique benefits to Revolut customers when they travel,” he said.

Revolut said the lounge concept is intended to create a high-end physical extension of its premium travel offering, with the wider network potentially becoming one of the largest premium lounge networks globally. The initiative follows plans announced earlier this year for the company’s first Revolut Store in Barcelona, as it seeks to establish a physical presence alongside its digital banking services.

Bora Isbulan, deputy chief executive of Plaza Premium Group, said the partnership would help “set a new benchmark for premium travel hospitality” and make lounge services more accessible across major international hubs. The Copenhagen agreement represents the first step in Revolut’s planned international lounge rollout.

Peter Krogsgaard, chief commercial officer at Copenhagen Airport, said the airport was pleased to welcome Revolut’s first branded lounge, describing it as another high-quality passenger offering focused on comfort, convenience and service.

Revolut said it expects to have around 500,000 Danish customers ahead of the lounge’s opening, while its Nordic customer base already exceeds two million and is expected to pass three million by the end of 2026. The FinTech has more than 75 million customers worldwide and reported £4.2 billion in revenue in its latest financial year, according to City AM.

Revolut will begin rolling out its own premium airport lounges across key European markets from 2027, with Copenhagen…

[6
69159,108,564,468,18693,1413
post-144993","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-copenhagen","tag-airport-lounges","tag-copenhagen","tag-copenhagen-airport","tag-fintech","tag-revolut","tag-travel
["GET
