A great way, yet predictable, way to finish the show.

Robert Smith’s voice sounded great, and even if he doesn’t say much between songs, his charm is undeniable. The rest of the band members were also in great shape with the recent addition of Eden Gallup (Simon Gallup’s son) on guitar and keyboards.

The Cure have a vast catalogue, and they are well known to deliverer long sets of 30+ songs which usually covers most of the songs that people want to hear. Although last night’s concert was a shorter set, it felt too much like a strange ‘’déjà vu’’ with an identical set design, projections and setlist as the 3 previous tours. Out of the 28 songs played last night, around 24 were part of the core setlist of the previous 3 visits. Overall, it was a strong headline performance from a band that still knows exactly how to create an atmosphere, give a great show and connect with its loyal audience… But… 4.5/6

Tekst: Olivier Fillion Boutin
Foto: Johannes Andersen

Relatert

Onsdag 12. august 2026 The band opened the show with «Alone», from their recent album «Songs of a Lost World»,…

[85
157,156,27294
post-145235","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-oslo","tag-norway","tag-oslo","tag-the-cure
["GET
