{"id":145963,"date":"2026-08-14T15:07:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T15:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/145963\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T15:07:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T15:07:12","slug":"levadia-football-training-hall-set-for-lasnamae-after-several-years-delays-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/145963\/","title":{"rendered":"Levadia football training hall set for Lasnam\u00e4e after several years&#8217; delays | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Meistriliiga side FCI Levadia says a long-awaited training hall should be completed next year, in the Lasnam\u00e4e district of Tallinn.<\/p>\n<p>The club has sought to build a football training facility for around five years now, and the revised project replaces an earlier plan to erect one in the Maarjam\u00e4e district.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Construction is expected to begin in spring 2027, and the football hall could be completed by the end of 2027,&#8221; club CEO Jevgeni Gurt\u0161ioglujants said.<\/p>\n<p>A 2025 price-tag estimate of \u20ac4 million to build the hall remains reportedly unchanged, despite rising construction prices.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for completing the hall&#8217;s design is tomorrow, Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The original planned location was close to the Memorial to the Victims of Communism, where the club&#8217;s training base is still located. This met with public pushback as it was felt that noise from training sessions and activities would not be location-appropriate.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-photo-id=\"3768217\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/3768217hccdbt24.png\"\/>Artist&#8217;s rendition of the original planned facility in Maarjam\u00e4e. Source: FCI Levadia<\/p>\n<p>\u20ac800,000 in state compensation was approved and resulted in the club agreeing to build it at an address on Punane t\u00e4nav in Lasnam\u00e4e instead.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the \u20ac4 million to build the facility will come from the City of Tallinn. The Estonian Football Association (EJL) is also due to repay the city \u20ac750,000 owed from several years ago as a result of the project.<\/p>\n<p>The club caters to just over 400 registered youth athletes, Gurt\u0161ioglujants added.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the Estonian Football Association assumed FC Flora&#8217;s previous obligations to the city, totaling nearly \u20ac1.6 million.
