Hosting open-weight systems locally keeps sensitive data on European soil and under corporate oversight. However, adopting Chinese foundation models risks introducing fresh supply-chain dependencies, complicating Brussels\u2019 broader push for technological self-reliance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"European businesses are increasingly weighing whether cheap but capable Chinese artificial intelligence systems represent a new threat to…\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":146265,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_share_on_mastodon":"0"},"categories":[104],"tags":[248,69602,64258,69603,211,210,174,16915,69606,66797,71,72,69604,2269,35483,5339,69605],"class_list":["post-146264","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-brussels","tag-ai","tag-ai-token-factory","tag-alibaba","tag-arthur-d-little","tag-belgium","tag-brussels","tag-china","tag-chinese","tag-deepseek","tag-eu-ai-act","tag-europe","tag-european","tag-lutech","tag-munich","tag-siemens","tag-south-china-morning-post","tag-xunce-technology"],"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@dk\/117097601824756851","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/146264","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=146264"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/146264\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/146265"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=146264"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=146264"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=146264"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
