for the summer”.

The update from the Danish shipping firm comes after Ports of Jersey released information highlighting improved travel figures seen at the airport and harbour last month – and stated that the outlook for the remainder of the year was “encouraging”.

This included data regarding passenger numbers to and from St Malo, which were up 31% in January against the same period last year.

DFDS said the performance had been driven largely by the success of its 24-hour fare, offering return crossings for £32 (€34).

Additionally, the ferry operator revealed that more than 80,000 passengers have already booked to travel with it to and from Jersey in 2026.

<img loading="lazy"
