The event will invite bartenders, brands, importers, distributors, hospitality professionals, industry organisations and international guests, and focus on knowledge, inspiration, competitions, networking and business.<\/p>\n
It aims to connect the Danish and Nordic bar scenes even more closely with the international drinks and hospitality industry.<\/p>\n
Rather than focusing solely on exhibition stands, the summit will combine exhibition, education, competitions, debates and industry networking under one roof.<\/p>\n
Around 40 exhibiting companies and brands are expected, with around 28 talks, seminars and panel discussions to take place over the two days.<\/p>\n
Topics will cover drinks trends, alcohol-free innovations, sustainability, business development, recruitment, technology, internationalisation, consumer behaviour and the future of hospitality.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do not want to create just another trade show where brands stand behind a booth and visitors simply move from stand to stand,\u201d said founder Zander Lauritzen Hansen. \u201cOur ambition is to create a genuine meeting point for the industry: a place where you can discover new products, but also learn something, challenge your own ideas, meet future partners and discuss where our industry is heading.<\/p>\n
\u201cCopenhagen has an incredibly strong food, bar and hospitality culture, and we believe the city deserves an international platform built specifically around this community.\u201d<\/p>\n
The show\u2019s education programme is being developed with Sune Risum-Urth, head of research and development at Copenhagen Distillery.<\/p>\n
The event will also host the Danish Cocktail Championship and Danish Mocktail Championship, as well as the newly created Nordic Sustainable Serve contest.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe industry is becoming increasingly interconnected,\u201d added Lauritzen Hansen. \u201cA modern bar is no longer just about the bottles on the back bar. Technology, sustainability, design, people, profitability, alcohol-free products, equipment and changing guest expectations all play a role.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want Copenhagen Bar Summit to reflect the industry as it looks today \u2013 while also helping to discuss what it will look like tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
