Two masked men opened fire on a police station in Brussels’ Anderlecht district late Friday, with at least 12 bullet holes found in the building’s facade, Belgian news outlet Nieuwsblad reported.<\/p>\n
The two men arrived at the police station on Demosthenestraat at around 11.30 pm local time (2130 GMT), according to surveillance footage.<\/p>\n
One of the men fired multiple shots at the building with what appeared to be an AK-47-style weapon, while the other filmed the attack.<\/p>\n
The Brussels South police zone said officers were alerted at around 11.40 pm local time (2140 GMT) that shots had been fired at the police station.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe impact on the building was visible,\u201d the police zone said.<\/p>\n
The entrance and glass doors of the station were particularly targeted.<\/p>\n
The suspects, who were dressed in black and wearing masks, fled the scene on a shared electric scooter.<\/p>\n
No one was injured in the attack.<\/p>\n
The police station was closed to the public at the time, but neighborhood officers were inside.<\/p>\n
