It applies under the Export Fuel Surcharge (EFS) and Import Fuel Surcharge (IFS) codes until further notice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"362\" data-end=\"582\">Maersk attributed the measure to rising global energy prices and the security situation in the Middle East. According to the company, these conditions continue to increase costs across landside and intermodal operations.<\/p>\n<p>Updated fuel fee levels<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"665\">The following rates will apply from 1 September 2026:<\/p>\n<p>Country<br \/>\nTransport mode<br \/>\nIntermodal Fuel Fee<\/p>\n<p>United Kingdom<br \/>\nTruck<br \/>\n8.3%<\/p>\n<p>Republic of Ireland<br \/>\nTruck<br \/>\n5.1%<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"981\">Maersk will review the fee every month. However, customers with bespoke pricing may face a higher rate. Their account managers will communicate the applicable level directly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1059\">The carrier may make further adjustments if energy market conditions change.<\/p>\n<p>Price calculation dates<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1089\" data-end=\"1244\">For non-FMC shipments, Maersk will use the estimated departure date of the first vessel shown in the latest booking confirmation requested by the customer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1479\">For FMC shipments, the price calculation date is when Maersk or an authorised agent takes possession of the final container listed on the transport document.
