The Ministry for Foreign Affairs said the meetings will cover Finland\u2019s bilateral relations with Israel and the Palestinian Authority, the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, and current foreign and security policy issues.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cFinland’s long-term policy is to support a two-state solution to achieve a lasting and peaceful solution between Israel and the Palestinians,\u201d Valtonen said in a press release issued on Sunday.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
During her visit, Valtonen is also to meet representatives of Palestinian civil society.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In Gaza, Israeli strikes killed at least 11 Palestinians on Sunday, according to medical and civil defence sources.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Palestinian Red Crescent said a strike on a tent encampment in northern Gaza killed at least six people. Another strike in Khan Younis in the south killed five.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to Gaza authorities, at least 601 Palestinians have been killed and 1,607 wounded since a US-brokered ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Israel has accused Hamas of repeated violations of the agreement and said four Israeli soldiers have been killed since the ceasefire began.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since the start of the war on 7 October 2023, more than 71,820 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the territory\u2019s health ministry.<\/p>\n
