This was reported by <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/news.err.ee\/1610117269\/book-of-condolences-opened-for-former-prime-minister-siim-kallas-at-stenbock-house\">ERR News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The president made the first entry<\/p>\n<p>Estonian President Alar Karis made the first entry in the book. It was placed in the Angels\u2019 Hall at Stenbock House. Karis called Kallas a statesman who played an important role in shaping Estonia through bold and far-sighted goals and actions.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Kristen Michal also paid tribute to Kallas, calling him a role model and mentor who was important to building modern Estonia.<\/p>\n<p>More current news is available on the UA.News Telegram channel <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/telegram.me\/uanewsstream\">Telegram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The book will be handed over to the family<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the book of condolences can be signed until 17:00. From Monday, it will be available on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00, until the day preceding the funeral. After that, the book will be handed over to the Kallas family. Condolences can also be expressed online.<\/p>\n<p>Siim Kallas headed Estonia\u2019s government in 2002\u20132003, and from 2004 to 2014 he was a European commissioner and vice-president of the European Commission. He was one of the founders of the Reform Party and was involved in Estonia\u2019s monetary reform, the country\u2019s accession to the EU and NATO in 2004, and the transition to the euro in 2011.
