Events marking the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine\u2019s independence were held in Stockholm. The programme included a march, a concert, and a ceremony honouring Ukrainians who lost their lives.<\/p>\n

Other speakers included Mikael Damberg, a representative of the Social Democratic Party; Svitlana Zalishchuk, Ukraine\u2019s ambassador to Sweden; Nils H\u00e5kanson, a translator of Ukrainian literature; and actress and director Marika Lagercrantz.<\/p>\n
Participants expressed their gratitude to Sweden for its support of Ukraine. The speeches emphasised the importance of unity in the struggle for Ukraine\u2019s independence and sovereignty.<\/p>\n
Concert and commemoration of fallen Ukrainians<\/p>\n
Ukrainian choirs, musical groups, and performers took part in the festive programme. A separate part of the events was a ceremony commemorating Ukrainians who lost their lives.<\/p>\n
