Officers from Warsaw\u2019s unit for combating criminal terrorism and homicides, as well as personnel from Poland\u2019s Internal Security Agency, took part in the arrests.<\/p>\n

Warsaw police were investigating information about the possible activities of an organized criminal group that may have been storing weapons. The arrests were carried out with enhanced security measures in place.<\/p>\n
Three men aged 21, 25, and 42 were inside the apartment. During the search, law enforcement officers seized three firearms and ammunition. The factory serial numbers had been removed from two of the weapons.<\/p>\n
Arrest, charges, and deportation<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old Russian citizen was charged with illegally possessing firearms and ammunition without the required permit. At the prosecutor\u2019s request, the court placed him in pretrial detention for three months.<\/p>\n
Under Polish law, illegal possession of weapons is punishable by six months to eight years in prison.<\/p>\n
Polish authorities initiated deportation proceedings against the 25-year-old detainee. The 21-year-old man was questioned as a witness and released.<\/p>\n
Investigators are continuing their inquiry.
