During a search of their apartment, three firearms and ammunition were found.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This was reported on social media platform X by Marcin Kierwi\u0144ski, Poland\u2019s Minister of the Interior and Administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe three detained Russians of Chechen origin and the illegal firearms and ammunition found in an apartment in Warsaw\u2019s Wola district are the result of an effective operation by police officers and the Internal Security Agency (ABW),\u201d Kierwi\u0144ski wrote.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Warsaw Police, the operation was carried out by officers from the capital\u2019s Department for Combating Criminal Terrorism and Homicides in cooperation with ABW personnel.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"pl\" dir=\"ltr\">Three detained Russians of Chechen origin, illegal firearms along with ammunition in an apartment in Warsaw\u2019s Wola district\u2014the result of a smoothly executed operation by officers <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Policja_KSP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">from @Policja_KSP<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ABW_GOV_PL?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ABW_GOV_PL<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uGJHov4FFN\">pic.twitter.com\/uGJHov4FFN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Marcin Kierwi\u0144ski (@MKierwinski) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MKierwinski\/status\/2092845544431386941?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 27, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to police, authorities received information about the possible activities of an organized criminal group. Based on reports of the possible presence of weapons, law enforcement officers carried out the arrests using special security measures. In an apartment in Warsaw\u2019s Wola district, they found three men aged 21, 25, and 42. During a search of the residence, law enforcement officers found three firearms and ammunition. The serial numbers had been erased from two of the firearms.<\/p>\n<p>The police charged the 42-year-old detainee with the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition without the proper permit. At the request of the prosecutor\u2019s office, the court ordered him to be held in pretrial detention for three months. For this offense, he faces a sentence of six months to eight years in prison. Deportation proceedings have been initiated against the 25-year-old Russian citizen from Poland. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old suspect was released after being questioned as a witness.<\/p>\n<p>Polish police are continuing their investigation, including an examination of the seized weapons and ammunition.
