However, by August 27th, authorities admitted that personal data may have been compromised.

According to Der Spiegel, Rhysida threatened to publicly release this data if Berlin did not pay within a week.

German security agencies are investigating to identify the perpetrators and examine the type of data that was stolen.

Rhysida previously claimed responsibility for a ransomware attack targeting the British Library in 2023, demanding 20 Bitcoin. The British Library refused to pay, after which the group published approximately 500,000 data files on the dark web, including personal information of visitors, subscribers, and staff.

Meanwhile, Berlin Deputy Mayor Iris Spranger affirmed that the attack would not affect preparations for the city-state elections on September 20.

Ms. Spranger emphasized that Berlin’s voting system remains secure.

Source: https://tuoitre.vn/berlin-bi-tin-tac-tong-tien-2-trieu-euro-sau-vu-tan-cong-mang-10026082916010388.htm

Berlin authorities are being demanded 2 million euros by hackers, who are threatening to publicly release data –…

[99
112,73039,55487,190,3503
post-155413","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-berlin","tag-berlin","tag-blackmail","tag-cyberattack","tag-germany","tag-hackers
["GET
