Mackerel Landings Continue In Fuglafj\u00f8r\u00f0ur<\/p>\n
Pelagos in Fuglafj\u00f8r\u00f0ur is busy processing mackerel landed by vessels fishing in international waters north of the Faroe Islands.<\/p>\n
Several vessels have landed or are preparing to land catches at the plant.<\/p>\n
Jupiter has landed 200 tonnes of mackerel and has already sailed back towards the fishing grounds.<\/p>\n
Christian \u00ed Gr\u00f3tinum is currently landing around 420 tonnes at Pelagos and will return to the mackerel fishery once the landing is completed.<\/p>\n
Nor\u00f0ingur is arriving with a further 190 tonnes. Its catch will be landed at Pelagos after Christian \u00ed Gr\u00f3tinum has completed its landing, after which Nor\u00f0ingur will also return to mackerel fishing.<\/p>\n
Fishing has been poor over the past few days. The mackerel moved higher in the water column before disappearing from the fishing grounds, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the pelagic vessel Tr\u00f3ndur \u00ed G\u00f8tu has arrived at Tv\u00f8royri with 240 tonnes of mackerel.<\/p>\n
The vessel has been fishing for mackerel in international waters to the north, where fishing conditions have been described as reasonable.<\/p>\n
The catch will be landed to Var\u00f0in Pelagic for human consumption.<\/p>\n
