{"id":157029,"date":"2026-09-01T13:23:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T13:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/157029\/"},"modified":"2026-09-01T13:23:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T13:23:10","slug":"borkum-riffgrund-3-wind-farm-begins-commercial-operations-tgs-4c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/157029\/","title":{"rendered":"Borkum Riffgrund 3 wind farm begins commercial operations TGS 4C"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tgs4c.com\/news\/..\\images\\news228\\image33228(1).png\" style=\"border:0px solid;\"\/><br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe 913 MW <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tgs4c.com\/windfarms\/germany\/borkum-riffgrund-3-germany-de03.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Borkum&#13;<br \/>\nRiffgrund 3 offshore wind farm<\/a>,&#13;<br \/>\njointly owned by \u00d8rsted and Nuveen Infrastructure, has entered commercial&#13;<br \/>\noperation in Germany. <\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement the project is one of the largest offshore&#13;<br \/>\nwind farms currently operating in the country.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The project is intended to support Germany\u2019s energy security through domestic&#13;<br \/>\nrenewable power generation.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Harnett, Chief Construction Officer at \u00d8rsted, said: \u201cThe project&#13;<br \/>\ndemonstrates how offshore wind at scale can bolster energy security across&#13;<br \/>\nGermany and Europe by powering businesses and homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The project also advances \u00d8rsted\u2019s 8.1 GW offshore wind construction programme,&#13;<br \/>\nwhich \u00d8rsted said will bring its total installed offshore wind capacity&#13;<br \/>\nto more than 18 GW once completed. <\/p>\n<p>Borkum Riffgrund 3 is \u00d8rsted\u2019s sixth operational offshore wind farm in&#13;<br \/>\nGermany. It follows the commissioning of the 253 MW <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tgs4c.com\/windfarms\/germany\/gode-wind-3-germany-de0h.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gode&#13;<br \/>\nWind 3 offshore wind farm<\/a>&#13;<br \/>\nin early 2025, which is also jointly owned by \u00d8rsted and Nuveen Infrastructure.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Josche Muth, Country Manager for \u00d8rsted Germany, said: \u201cBorkum Riffgrund&#13;<br \/>\n3 is a clear example of how offshore wind can deliver secure, affordable,&#13;<br \/>\nand home-grown electricity.
