If a trip across the pond to France is on the mind, this new direct flight from Toronto could convince you to book it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Air Canada just announced its newest routes for 2027, and it will be the only airline with non-stop flights to Nice, France, known as one of Europe\u2019s leading beach destinations. Air Canada\u2019s Toronto-Nice flights are set to launch\u00a0June 16, with service continuing until Oct. 23, 2027.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe capital of the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur, \u2018Nice la belle,\u2019 as it is known, is famous for its Promenade des Anglais and its seven kilometres of pebble beaches,\u201d states Explore France<\/a>, the country\u2019s official tourism board.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrance\u2019s fifth-largest city has many other treasures to explore to your heart\u2019s content: escape to the hilltop villages of the hinterland, slide down the snow-covered slopes of Auron and Isola 2000, savour sun-drenched local produce, discover the works of Matisse and Chagall, both shaped by the Mediterranean light.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s all within a direct-flight\u2019s reach.<\/p>\n

The Air Canada flights will be aboard its Airbus A330-300 fleet, which features Air Canada signature, premium economy and economy cabins. They are set to depart from Pearson International Airport at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the only flight being added to Air Canada\u2019s upcoming year.<\/p>\n

Flights to one of the most walkable capitals\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oslo is one of the most walkable capitals in the world, and you can soon fly there direct from Toronto.<\/p>\n

Air Canada will also be the only North American airline with non-stop flights to Oslo, Norway, which will be operated aboard its new Airbus A321XLR fleet.<\/p>\n

Oslo is one of the\u00a0most walkable\u00a0capitals in the world, and the\u00a0Wall Street Journal calls it the \u201cnewest capital of Nordic\u00a0cool<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flights to Oslo from Toronto kick off on June 2, and will run four days a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday until Oct. 10, 2027.<\/p>\n

If neither Oslo nor Nice were on the travel itinerary, perhaps Ireland is.\u00a0<\/p>\n

An Irish town with a renowned west coast<\/p>\n

Among the new routes announced is Toronto to Shannon, also making Air Canada the only airline offering this non-stop service, which will be on its new\u00a0Airbus A321XLR fleet.<\/p>\n

Shannon is home to Ireland\u2019s renowned, magnificent west coast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPlay a round of energetic golf or head for a swim in the local leisure complex before exploring the nearby attractions,\u201d states Discover Ireland<\/a>. \u201cJourney east to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and learn of its ancient history or travel north to Knappogue Castle, a restored medieval tower house. Walk around its gorgeous grounds and spot the beautiful climbing roses.\u201d<\/p>\n

The direct flights to Shannon will run three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) from\u00a0June 10 to Oct. 2, 2027.<\/p>\n

Air Canada plans to operate more than 125 international routes in summer 2027 to more than 85 international destinations across the Atlantic, Pacific, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America.<\/p>\n
