Saturday morning will begin with light winds across much of Finland outside Lapland. Fog and mist are expected in several areas before clearing as the day progresses.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Scattered rain and showers will affect western and northern Finland, with some rainfall also expected in eastern areas. Winds from the north and northwest will strengthen across southern and central Finland during the day. Moderate winds are forecast along the west coast and in Lapland by the afternoon.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Saturday temperatures will range from 11\u00b0C to 18\u00b0C across southern and central Finland, according to Foreca meteorologist Joonas Koskela.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Northern Ostrobothnia and Kainuu will see temperatures of between 8\u00b0C and 13\u00b0C. Lapland will be colder, with daytime readings between 5\u00b0C and 10\u00b0C.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The colder air will extend further south on Sunday as gusty winds from the north and northwest spread across the country.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Cloud will cover much of eastern and northern Finland, while western areas will see more sunshine. Rain is forecast in eastern Finland, with Kainuu and North Karelia among the areas most likely to receive precipitation.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Sunday will bring the lowest temperatures to areas north of a line running between Oulu and Lappeenranta. Foreca forecasts daytime temperatures of 3\u00b0C to 9\u00b0C in those areas.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Western and southern Finland will remain warmer, with temperatures ranging between 10\u00b0C and 16\u00b0C. Strong wind gusts will make conditions feel colder.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The change will mark a shift from recent conditions but will not last long in southern Finland. Warmer air is forecast to begin moving into the country from the southwest early next week.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The coldest air will also retreat from Lapland as next week progresses, Foreca said.<\/p>\n
