The service is due to be held at Oslo Cathedral, and Harald&#8217;s coffin will be moved from the Slottskapellet for the service.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ed0deIgxvQ9\" data-wc=\"39\">The funeral is due to be conducted in the Church of Norway&#8217;s traditional funeral liturgy. Harald&#8217;s coffin will then be transported to Oslo Cathedral, moving past Karl Johans Gate and Kirkegata.<\/p>\n<p id=\"e--BjBARhXdH\" data-wc=\"36\">Members of the royal family will walk behind the coffin, while the streets will be lined with mourning members of the public. Following the ceremony, Harald&#8217;s coffin will be transported to the Fortress for a private funeral service, with only members of the <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/royalty\/920652\/norway-order-of-succession-king-harald-death\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Norwegian royal family<\/a>, foreign royals and some members of Norway&#8217;s institutions at the service.<\/p>\n<p id=\"eposKOcup0FS\" data-wc=\"44\">Harald will be buried at Akershus alongside other deceased members of Norway&#8217;s royal family, including his parents, King Olav and Crown Princess Martha. This will not change until after the court mourning period ends.<\/p>\n<p id=\"efXPVzD87J\" data-wc=\"64\">Royal women will likely don black mourning veils for the event \u2013 which are traditionally worn at the funeral of a sovereign. The mourning veil is both symbolic and practical as they are worn by those in the process of grieving for a loved one.
