Orsted has hired Enrique Arana Bachelis as its head of commercial enablement. Bachelis joined the global offshore wind giant from fellow Danish outfit Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), where he spent three years as vice president, energy management.<\/p>\n
Bachelis also becomes a member of Orsted\u2019s Trading & Revenue senior leadership team.<\/p>\n
Orsted looked within its own ranks as it named Alex Louden as its new head of innovation \u2013 offshore wind delivery. Scotland-based Louden was formerly head of the group’s UK and Ireland innovation hub. In his new role Louden will \u201clead a team of innovation specialists and innovation project managers, responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of high-value innovation projects across Orsted’s offshore wind business,\u201d he wrote on Linkedin.<\/p>\n
Orsted also this week publicly welcomed Simon Ashley as its new chief HR officer, after joining in August following a long career in BP. CEO Rasmus Errboe said Ashley \u201cbrings extensive global experience from the energy industry, a strong track record of leading organisations through change, and a deep understanding of how to build high-performing teams\u201d.<\/p>\n
On the way out of Orsted, meanwhile, was Jens Knudsen, who left after 18 years to join Skyborn Renewables in August<\/a> as head of planning, construction & commissioning.Parisa Bardouni has joined wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa<\/a> as SVP head of nacelle-wind turbine technology. Bardouni relocated to Pamplona in Spain after a 20-year career with Aker Solutions, where she ended as chief technology officer, low carbon and renewable energy.<\/p>\n It was a case of one in, one out, between wind giant Vestas and the global air conditioning group Carrier. In the US, Vestas welcomed Carrier\u2019s former director of operations Marvin Carr as its new VP, head of Brighton nacelles. The Danish group makes nacelles and hubs at its plant in Brighton, Colorado.<\/p>\n Engin Yokus, meanwhile, went the other way. Yokus, a Vestas senior director for quality based in Denmark left to become Carrier\u2019s new Switzerland-based global head of supplier quality<\/a>.<\/p>\n Managing director Matthew Taylor will leave renewables financing specialist Green Giraffe after 15 years that spanned Europe and Asia and transactions cumulatively valued at more than $10bn. Taylor did not reveal details of his next move but wrote on Linkedin: \u201cThe next chapter means leaving the advisory sector, but staying firmly within energy transition and investment\u201d.<\/p>\n Suzlon Energy has a new executive Down Under. Greg Politakis joins the Indian wind group\u2019s Australian unit as head of business development after almost six years with developer Mainstream Renewable Power.<\/p>\n
