{"id":16166,"date":"2026-02-17T11:32:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T11:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/16166\/"},"modified":"2026-02-17T11:32:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T11:32:07","slug":"arkia-announces-new-summer-2026-flights-to-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/16166\/","title":{"rendered":"Arkia announces new Summer 2026 flights to Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/business-and-innovation\/article-885966\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arkia<\/a> presented its Spring\u2013Summer 2026 flight schedule at a breakfast press event at Pastel Restaurant in Tel Aviv, announcing an expanded destinations map and a new Business Class product for select European routes, the airline said.<\/p>\n<p>The company framed the move as part of its broader growth strategy to expand its network and upgrade its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/travel\/article-884108\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-884515\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">airline<\/a> said it plans to operate flights in the coming summer to roughly 40 destinations across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Mediterranean Basin, including new routes to Phuket, Malaga, Ibiza, and Vilnius.<\/p>\n<p>Arkia also said it intends to deepen its long-haul activity, including transatlantic service to New York and routes to parts of Asia, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/politics-and-diplomacy\/article-885499\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thailand<\/a> and Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>Business Class expands to Europe<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Arkia said it will, for the first time, offer Business Class on a range of European routes, beginning with the Tel Aviv\u2013Paris route. (credit: DANA KOPPEL)<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">According to Arkia, Business Class passengers will receive VIP service, expanded baggage allowances, lounge access, and a premium dining menu. One-way fares to Paris will start at $850 per person, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Aircraft to be named for Yehoram Gaon<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">At the event, held in the presence of singer, creator, and Israel Prize laureate Yehoram Gaon, Arkia CEO Oz Berlowitz announced that a new aircraft in the fleet will bear Gaon\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Arkia said the decision follows a company tradition of naming aircraft after prominent Israeli artists, and that this is the first time it has named a plane after an artist during his lifetime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Gaon is an Israel Prize recipient for his contribution to Hebrew song and an Honorary Citizen of Jerusalem, Arkia noted.
