Stephen\u2019s thoughts on Alan J. Pakula\u2019s All the President\u2019s Men (1976) in 4K Ultra HD<\/a> from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, as well as David Bruckner\u2019s Hellraiser (2022) in 4K Ultra HD Steelbook<\/a> from Turbine Medien.<\/p>\n

Tim\u2019s review of Roy Ward Baker\u2019s Scars of Dracula (1970) on Blu-ray<\/a> from Hammer Films via Kino Lorber Studio Classics.<\/p>\n

And Dennis\u2019 look at Cecile B. DeMille\u2019s The Godless Girl (1928)<\/a> and Ian Softley\u2019s K-PAX (2001) each on Blu-ray<\/a> from Kino Lorber Studio Classics.<\/p>\n

In announcement news today, Lionsgate has officially set Ric Roman Waugh\u2019s Greenland 2: Migration (2025) for 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on 3\/31, just as we revealed previously. Extras will include 4 featurettes (Rebuilding: Ric Roman Waugh, Pushing Forward: Gerard Butler, Heart and Soul: Morena Baccarin, and What We Leave Behind: Roman Griffin Davis) as well as the theatrical trailer. The 4K will include Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. Also note that Lionsgate is bringing the original Greenland (2020) to 4K here in the States for the first time that same day. Lionsgate has also announced that Paul Feig\u2019s The Housemaid (2025) is coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 3\/17. The title will include a pair of audio commentaries, one with Feig and another with Feig joined by his creative team, along with 3 featurettes (From Page to Panic: Making The Housemaid, Secrets of the Winchester House: A Housemaid Tour, and A Peek Inside) as well as Deleted Scenes.<\/p>\n

And Lionsgate will release 4K + Blu-ray Steelbook and VHS (no kidding) exclusive editions of Mark Jones\u2019 Leprechaun (1993) on Lionsgate Limited on 3\/17. Extras will include both new and legacy content.<\/p>\n

A couple more Lionsgate announcements: They\u2019re releasing Jonathan English and John Glenn\u2019s Robin Hood (2025) MGM+ streaming series on Digital only on 3\/30. And they\u2019re also releasing ABC\u2019s The Conners: Season Seven (2025) via Digital that same day.<\/p>\n

Sony has confirmed the 4\/21 Blu-ray, DVD, 4K, and 4K Steelbook release of Nia DaCosta\u2019s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026). Extras will include audio commentary with the director, the Behind the Scenes: New Blood, the Doctor and the Devil, Beneath the Rage featurette, a deleted scene, and Infected Takes: Bloopers.<\/p>\n

Sony is also taking pre-orders on the TBA release of Tyree Dillihay\u2019s CG-animated GOAT (2026) on all formats (via all the usual retailers) including 4K.<\/p>\n

Our friends at Celluloid Dreams are finally releasing the landmark 1971 giallo The Black Belly of the Tarantula, directed by Paolo Cavara, as a 3-disc 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Limited Edition on 5\/12. It will include both new and legacy special features, all in beautiful packaging. The company has just spent a good long time restoring and remastering the film, so it should look and sound amazing. You can only get this title directly from the Celluloid Dreams website<\/a>, and (for international customers) DiabolikDVD.com<\/a>. Act fast!<\/p>\n

Paramount and Alliance are releasing a standard Amaray 4K version of Matthew Vaughn\u2019s Stardust (2007) on 4\/28. They\u2019re also reissuing Robert Altman\u2019s Nashville (1975) on Blu-ray that same day.<\/p>\n

Universal is releasing Jay Roach\u2019s Meet the Fockers in 4K Ultra HD on 4\/14.<\/p>\n

Warner\u2019s forthcoming 4K Ultra HD release of the Wachowski\u2019s Speed Racer (2008) is starting to appear for pre-order via more retailers\u2014it\u2019s now up on Gruv and Target. There\u2019s no official street date yet, but we\u2019ve confirmed with sources that it\u2019s likely to be 5\/19. We expect an official announcement very soon.<\/p>\n

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has revealed that they\u2019re working on a Blu-ray box set, the Ang\u00e9lique: Complete Five Film Collection, which includes Bernard Borderie\u2019s Ang\u00e9lique, Marquise des Anges (1964), Ang\u00e9lique: The Road to Versailles (1965), Ang\u00e9lique and the King (1966), Untamable Ang\u00e9lique (1967), and Ang\u00e9lique and the Sultan (1968). Also coming to Blu-ray is the Brit Noir: Collection 1 box set that includes Basil Dearden\u2019s Cage of Gold (1950), Guy Hamilton\u2019s Edgar Wallace\u2019s The Ringer (1952), and John Lemont\u2019s The Frightened City (1961). The street date for both sets is TBA.<\/p>\n

And StudioCanal in the UK is releasing Mike Figgis\u2019 Leaving Las Vegas (1995) in 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray in the UK on 5\/18. Extras will include \u201cnew Zoom interviews with Mike Figgis, Nicolas Cage, and Elisabeth Shue TBC, a new documentary by Mike Figgis TBC, a new audio commentary with Mike Figgis, original interviews, B-Roll, a making of featurette and a new 20-page booklet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally today, we have sad news to report. The legendary actor Robert Duvall has died. Duvall starred or appeared in many films and series we loved here at The Bits, among them To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), True Grit (1969), THX 1138 (1971), The Godfather (1972) and The Godfather II (1974), Network (1976), Apocalypse Now (1979), The Great Santini (1979), The Natural (1984), the Lonesome Dove (1989) miniseries, Wrestling Ernest Hemingway (1993), Deep Impact (1998), and Get Low (2009). He also directed The Apostle (1997), Assassination Tango (2002), and many more. (I\u2019ve left out a LOT.)<\/p>\n

But my personal favorite of Duvall\u2019s many roles is one that sadly far too many people haven\u2019t had the pleasure of seeing\u2014the seasoned cattleman Boss Spearman in Kevin Costner\u2019s Open Range (2003), which I personally think is one of the finest Westerns of the last fifty years. (I also think it\u2019s Costner\u2019s best film, and if anyone from the home entertainment team at Disney is reading this: You should damn well release Open Range on both Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD disc right now. Like ASAP. It\u2019s that good and it deserves to be seen!) The silver lining in Duvall\u2019s passing is that he\u2019s left us with such a great catalog of work, and when he passed away on Sunday he was 95.
