Soren Torpegaard Lund was \u00a0declared the winner of the 2026 Danish national final DMGP with \u2018\u2018For vi gar hjem\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Soren Torpegaard Lund \u00a0was crowned the winner of DGMP 2026 and will have the grand honor of defending the Danish colors at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria with \u2018For vi gar hjem\u2018.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 Danish national final -DMGP\u00a0 was held at\u00a0the\u00a0Arena Nord\u00a0in Frederikshavn and will be hosted by\u00a0Alex H\u00f8gh Andersen\u00a0and\u00a0Sara Bro\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 8 acts battled for the golden ticket to Vienna during tonight\u2019s show. The 2026 Danish Eurovision entry and act was determined via a combined jury\/public vote deliberation.<\/p>\n<p>Denmark in Eurovision<\/p>\n<p>Denmark debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and has won the competition thrice: 1963 (Grethe &amp; Jorgen Ingmann),\u00a0 2000 (Olsen Brothers) and 2013 (Emmelie de Forest).<\/p>\n<p>The nordic country has hosted the competetition thrice in its iconic capital Copenhagen (1964, 2001 and 2014) and also played host to the 50th Eurovision anniversary special show in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Denmark has partaken 53 times in the Eurovision Song Contest.
