Big news from Lego! The legendary brick-model company today announced its 1:8-scale McLaren MCL39. This massive 1675-piece Technic set celebrates the winner of the 2025 F1 constructors’ and drivers’ championships. It’s available for preorder now at Lego.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lego Technic McLaren MCL39 F1 Car\"Lego<\/a><\/p>\n

Designed as a set piece for adult builders, the Lego Technic McLaren MCL39 is a brick-by-brick replica of the car driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in F1 2025. Young motorsport enthusiasts are encouraged to give it a go, but the detail and scope of this model mean it’s likely too much for little Lego fans.<\/p>\n

Realistic features include functional steering, suspension, gearbox, and differential. Remove the engine cover, and the incredibly detailed V-6 presents itself. New for 2026 is a working drag reduction system (DRS) in the rear spoiler; the dynamic mechanism activates when you remove the engine cover and shift into high gear. <\/p>\n

To celebrate the launch, the Lego Group carried out a stealthy, mischievous mission: Overnight, Lego Technic MCL39 F1 Car models were secretly placed throughout the McLaren Technology Centre, surprising team members as they arrived for work. This exclusive, world-first look\u2014seen here<\/a> on the Lego YouTube channel\u2014captured genuine reactions as team members explored the new Technic model and its innovative features, bringing a playful moment of joy to the heart of McLaren Racing. <\/p>\n
