Ukrainian artists protested the after-party on February 14. \u201cWhen a Russian state-affiliated foundation operates in occupied Ukrainian territories, it functions within \u2014 or alongside \u2014 occupation administrations,\u201d organizers wrote. \u201cThis contributes to the normalization and legitimization of the occupation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"www.vulture.com\/_components\/clay-paragraph\/instances\/cmlu6pyez001m3b791ftogf3t@published\" data-word-count=\"83\">Shevtsova <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DU8LLaIiEHu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">clarified<\/a> her stance on the Ukraine-Russia conflict in an Instagram statement. \u201dMy family members live in Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. The current tragedy affects me personally and deeply. I would never wish harm, violence, or suffering upon anyone. What is happening is heartbreaking for millions of families, including mine,\u201d she wrote. \u201cFor the past four years, I have lived and worked in Europe, focusing exclusively on my artistic work.
