The royal family gathered for the service at the Palace Church at the Royal Palace.<\/p>\n<p>Crown Princess Victoria accompanied her husband, Prince Daniel, and her daughter, Princess Estelle, at the ceremony, where they were joined by Queen Sonja, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/news\/2010\/07\/swedish-palace-confirms-racy-rumors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Prince Carl Philip<\/a>, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O&#8217;Neill. Princess D\u00e9sir\u00e9e&#8217;s sister, Princess Margaretha, was also in attendance, wearing a delicate string of pearls around her neck.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Desir\u00e9e was known to the public as one of the \u201cHaga Princesses.\u201d who grew up in the Haga Palace outside Stockholm with Carl XVI Gustaf and their sisters, Princess Margaretha, Princess Birgitta, and Princess Christina. Officially titled Baroness Silfverschi\u00f6ld, Princess D\u00e9sir\u00e9e passed away on January 21 at the age of 87.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Born on June2, 1938 to Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of V\u00e4sterbotten, and Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Desir\u00e9e&#8217;s paternal grandparents were Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/topic\/queen-victoria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Queen Victoria<\/a>&#8216;s granddaughter, Princess Margaret of Connaught.
