{"id":2089,"date":"2026-02-07T00:06:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T00:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/2089\/"},"modified":"2026-02-07T00:06:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T00:06:12","slug":"bolt-weighs-hq-move-to-tallinns-porto-franco-waterfront-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/2089\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolt weighs HQ move to Tallinn&#8217;s Porto Franco waterfront | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobility giant Bolt is weighing a move of its headquarters across Tallinn to the waterfront Porto Franco development, business daily \u00c4rip\u00e4ev reports.<\/p>\n<p>The ride-hailing and rental platform, currently headquartered in the Kawe Quarter in Veerenni, has been searching for new office space for some time, newspaper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aripaev.ee\/suur-lugu\/2026\/01\/16\/porto-franco-paasterongas-bolt-plaanib-peakontori-mere-aarde-kolida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u00c4rip\u00e4ev reported Monday<\/a> (link in Estonian).<\/p>\n<p>Of dozens of sites considered, negotiations with the long-stalled Porto Franco development on Tallinn&#8217;s waterfront have advanced the furthest and are now in their final stage, pending a decision, the paper reports.<\/p>\n<p>Porto Franco owner Rauno Teder declined to confirm Bolt&#8217;s potential move. &#8220;We do not comment on such rumors,&#8221; he told ERR Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, he acknowledged that the development is actively seeking a large anchor tenant and continuing preparatory work on the project.<\/p>\n<p>Bolt also stopped short of confirming any relocation plans, with PR lead Kaarel Kook saying the company has not yet reached any agreement on a new headquarters location.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At the moment, we have not signed any agreements regarding a new office,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Construction at Porto Franco has been stalled for some time and remains on hold. Teder said progress on the waterfront development hinges on a chain of factors \u2014 landing a major tenant, restarting construction and completing sections of the complex \u2014 but would not provide an estimate for when it might be finished.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That would be speculation,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c4rip\u00e4ev reports\u00a0that financing remains Porto Franco&#8217;s\u00a0biggest obstacle.
