The action will run from 10 to 12 March and follows a walkout last week that affected care homes in the north of the country. Talks under the national conciliator continue without a settlement.

The Public and Welfare Sectors Union JHL announced on Monday its third strike notice in the ongoing dispute over a new collective agreement for the private social services sector. The stoppage will take place from 00.01 on 10 March until 23.59 on 12 March.

The strike covers all work carried out in member companies of the employers’ association Hyvinvointiala Hali across the country. JHL said the action applies to all shifts that begin during the three-day period.

JHL has also maintained a temporary ban on shift transfers affecting its members in Hali member companies. The ban remains in force until industrial action ends or the union announces otherwise. Union members change shifts only as overtime.

The new strike will be called off if the parties reach a negotiated settlement before 10 March. JHL has already announced a second wave of action set for 3 to 5 March. Lapland and North Ostrobothnia are excluded from this round, as those regions were affected by the previous three-day walkout.

HT

Finland’s private social services sector faces a new three-day strike in March after two major unions issued fresh…

[87
11259,14831,158,11262,113,11260,14830,11263,11258,12996,10152
0":"post-21980","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-helsinki","8":"tag-care-workers","9":"tag-collective-agreement","10":"tag-finland","11":"tag-hali","12":"tag-helsinki","13":"tag-jhl","14":"tag-mediation","15":"tag-pay-dispute","16":"tag-private-social-services","17":"tag-strike","18":"tag-super
["GET
