{"id":23105,"date":"2026-02-24T13:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T13:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/23105\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T13:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T13:35:08","slug":"reminder-to-register-for-offshore-wind-farm-hearings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/23105\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder to register for offshore wind farm hearings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/276664-1.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/>\n                                    Image &#8211; Orsted<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            \u00d8rsted&#8217;s Mooir Vannin project to enter examination phase\n        <\/p>\n<p>Anyone wanting to attend hearings relating to the Mooir Vannin offshore wind farm application is being urged to register in advance.<\/p>\n<p>The application by\u00a0\u00d8rsted to build 87 wind turbines off the east coast of the Island\u00a0is due to be\u00a0scrutinised by an independent examining body.<\/p>\n<p>Anybody wanting to attend in-person needs to register at least a week in advance for events being held 3-6 March.<\/p>\n<p>That means if you want to attend the preliminary meeting or the public meeting at\u00a0Woodbourne House next Tuesday (3 March) you have to register by the end of today.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone can speak at these meetings and hearings if they have provided at least five working days\u2019 notice.<\/p>\n<p>Details of meetings and hearings<\/p>\n<p>  \u00a0Preliminary Meeting, Tuesday 3 March &#8211; 10am at Woodbourne House, Douglas. Register by Tuesday 24 February to attend. A Public Meeting will be held at the same venue at 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>The Preliminary Meeting will discuss the procedure for the examination of the application and prepare those who want to give their views on the process.<\/p>\n<p>Hearings will be held at the Comis Golf Club, start at 10am, and will explore these issues in detail:<\/p>\n<p>  Wednesday 4 March &#8211; Marine Infrastructure Consent and matters relating to land and rights. Register by Wednesday 25 February to attend.\u00a0<br \/>\n  Thursday 5 March &#8211; environmental impact assessment and protected species. Register by Thursday 26 February to attend.<br \/>\n  Friday 6 March &#8211; shipping and navigation.
