The daily cross-border service, operated by Swedish company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indexbox.io\/store\/scandinavia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Snalltaget<\/a>, will run via Gothenburg along Sweden&#8217;s west coast into Norway.<\/p>\n<p>The northbound journey from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indexbox.io\/store\/branch\/rail-freight-cargo-transport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Malmo Centralstation<\/a> will depart at 6:38 am and arrive at Oslo Central Station at 1:13 pm. The southbound return service will leave Oslo at 2:48 pm, reaching Malmo at 9:25 pm. All departures on the Malmo-Gothenburg-Oslo route will feature the operator&#8217;s restaurant car, named Krogen. The cheapest rebookable fares start from 149 Swedish kronor, or approximately 14 euros, with bookings open until October 28, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Intermediate stops on the route include Lund, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Varberg, Trollhattan, Sarpsborg, and Fredrikstad. In the Gothenburg area, trains will stop at Molndal and Gamlestaden stations instead of the central station, with connections available via local Vasttrafik commuter trains and trams to central Gothenburg, Liseberg amusement park, and the wider region.<\/p>\n<p>The new link strengthens international rail connections. In Malmo, passengers can change trains to continue south to Copenhagen and Hamburg or board Snalltaget&#8217;s night train to Berlin.
