A new train<\/a> launching this summer will connect three major Scandinavian<\/a> cities for as little as 149 Swedish krone (SEK) or \u00a312.20.<\/p>\n

Private Swedish railway company Sn\u00e4llt\u00e5get has announced it is debuting a new long-distance route connecting Malm\u00f6, Gothenburg<\/a> and Oslo<\/a> with direct daytime services.<\/p>\n

The six-and-a-half-hour journey, launching on 15 June, will take passengers along Sweden\u2019s west coast and onwards across the border to Norway\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n

The train will also call at other destinations, including Lund, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Varberg, Trollh\u00e4ttan, Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad.<\/p>\n

There will be one train a day which will leave Malm\u00f6 at 6.38am and arrive at Oslo at 1.16pm, aside from Sundays when the train will leave slightly later at 7.05am.<\/p>\n

In the other direction, the Oslo to Malm\u00f6 route will run in the afternoon, departing at 2.48pm and arriving in the Swedish city at 9.25pm.<\/p>\n

Tickets include two pieces of hand luggage and one smaller personal item. It is not, however, possible to bring a non-folding bicycle onto the train.<\/p>\n

Children under Pets are welcome on aboard with one pet per passenger charged at SEK 29.80 (\u00a32.40).<\/p>\n

On board, travellers in either direction will have access to the onboard restaurant, Krogen, which the rail company recommends booking a table at and pre-ordering a meal while purchasing a train ticket.<\/p>\n

While the menu for this route has yet to be announced, other journeys offer hot meals such as pasta with mushrooms, beef and potato gratin with lingonberries and overnight baked beef roast from 159 SEK (\u00a313).<\/p>\n

Breakfast includes a bundle of cheese rolls, cinnamon buns, juice and hot drinks for SEK 99 (\u00a38) when booked in advance.<\/p>\n

Krogen also has a self-service counter, which sells coffee, tea, soft drinks, sandwiches, pastries and sweets.<\/p>\n

Travellers arriving in Malm\u00f6 will also be able to continue their journey to Berlin by switching trains, providing an easier way to get to the German capital from Oslo.<\/p>\n

Sn\u00e4llt\u00e5get\u2019s night train from Malm\u00f6 to Berlin also stops at Copenhagen and Hamburg.<\/p>\n

The railway company also connects other European cities through its daytime services, such as Copenhagen\u2013Malm\u00f6\u2013Stockholm and Hamburg\u2013Copenhagen\u2013Stockholm.<\/p>\n

Alongside its Malm\u00f6 to Berlin night train, Sn\u00e4llt\u00e5get also runs an overnight service to Austria from Stockholm, J\u00e4mtland and H\u00e4rjedalen in rural northern Sweden, as well as services to Mora for Vasaloppet, the annual long-distance cross-country ski race.<\/p>\n
