{"id":2577,"date":"2026-02-07T05:43:32","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T05:43:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/2577\/"},"modified":"2026-02-07T05:43:32","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T05:43:32","slug":"vestas-expands-poland-plant-to-meet-rising-european-demand-for-onshore-wind-turbines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/2577\/","title":{"rendered":"Vestas expands Poland plant to meet rising European demand for onshore wind turbines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">COPENHAGEN, Dec 2 (Reuters) &#8211; Wind turbine maker \u200bVestas will double production capacity at \u200cits onshore blade factory in Poland to address increasing \u200cdemand across Europe, hiring more than 300 workers, the Danish company said in a statement late on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The expansion will \u2060add a second \u200cproduction line to make blades for Vestas&#8217; V172-7.2 \u200dMW turbine, which will mainly serve the growing German market, a spokesperson told Reuters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Vestas took \u200bover the blade factory in Goleniow \u200cfrom LM Wind Power in September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Germany installed 2.2 gigawatt (GW) of onshore wind in the first half of 2025, up 67% on the \u2060year, according to \u200bindustry group WindEurope.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Germany is expected \u200bto add 5.1 GW of onshore wind capacity for the full \u200dyear, \u2060making it Europe&#8217;s largest market.
