Lego has come a long way from the colorful bricks we played with as kids. From brand and TV collaborations<\/a> to decorative seasonal collections, there really is something for everyone, including Lego-loving adults.<\/p>\n

Their latest adult Lego line caters to pet owners, starting with a brick Golden Retriever<\/a> and a tuxedo cat<\/a>. So you can not only have a life-size, fluffy version running around your house, but also a replica for your shelf. In March, they will be expanding the collection to include everyone’s favorite rebel rauser, and arbitrary cuddle bug: the orange cat<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lego’s Orange Cat <\/a>may be just under $100, but at 1,755 pieces, it seems like a fair price. Cat lovers will have the purr-fect time creating the adorably realistic cat. Lego continues its trend of posable, customizable parts, a common feature of the Ideas line.<\/p>\n

After assembling the 1,700 pieces, you can adjust the cat’s ears, paws and tail. Plus, the head is movable. So you can change the direction it’s looking daily if you wish. The eyes can be green or brown, depending on your cat’s color or your preference if you don’t have a cat.<\/p>\n

In addition to repositioning the head and limbs, the cat’s mouth can also open and close. It stands 12.5 inches tall and does not produce any allergens or dander, which can be a huge plus for some cat lovers who can’t have one of their own due to allergies.<\/p>\n

The cat can sit on your shelf by itself, or you can pair it with the black tuxedo cat, which Lego intends as a companion piece. Much like real-life cats, you can’t have your Lego cat getting lonely up there on the shelf.<\/p>\n

I would be tempted to get all the animals the brick builder has produced so far and add to the collection as they make more. As a cat-and-dog household, I think it would only be proper to get one of each. Now, all they need to do is create a German Shepherd and a Tortie, and I could have exact replicas of my fur-babies.<\/p>\n

While the set doesn’t release until March 1, fans are already forming opinions, especially since some have already put together pre-release models and shared reviews.<\/p>\n

While many people are poised and ready to click buy, some fans are unsure about the color. Opinions fall into two camps: some think it is too brown or dull, while others think there may be too much white accent. Even with the color discrepancies, the general consensus is that they will probably buy it. Either way, building the cat will result in a 100 percent good time and an adorable decor piece.<\/p>\n
