Islam Times – A former senior United Nations human rights official has alleged that two key figures behind the Oslo Accords maintained personal and financial ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, citing recently released case files.Craig Mokhiber, who previously headed the New York office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said on X on Tuesday that Norwegian diplomats Mona Juul and Terje R\u00f8d-Larsen had close connections to Epstein.<\/p>\n

Mokhiber claimed the couple received personal loans from Epstein and that \u201ctheir children were reportedly left $10 million in Epstein\u2019s will.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mokhiber described the Oslo Accords as \u201cdisastrous,\u201d arguing that they \u201cside-stepped international law, devastated Palestinian rights for three decades, and consolidated the \u2018Israeli\u2019 regime\u2019s unlawful position in Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also highlighted R\u00f8d-Larsen\u2019s later role as the UN\u2019s chief envoy for West Asia through UNSCO, noting that he had been Mokhiber\u2019s supervisor in the 1990s and was later \u201cforced to step down in scandal as head of the International Peace Institute due to his financial dealings with Epstein.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t prove that the \u2018Israeli\u2019 regime has corrupted UN political officials working on Palestine,\u201d Mokhiber wrote, \u201cbut Larsen and his successors as UN envoys consistently prioritized \u2018Israel\u2019 regime sensibilities over international law and the human rights of the Palestinian people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comments coincide with renewed attention on Epstein\u2019s international political influence.<\/p>\n
