Blues-rock powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Dana Fuchs announces the release of her new live album, Live In Denmark, recorded in a single, unforgettable night at Godset in Kolding, Denmark, in October 2025.<\/p>\n
The album captures the raw intensity, emotional depth, and unfiltered power that have made Fuchs one of the most compelling voices in contemporary blues-rock.<\/p>\n
Recorded with no overdubs or post-production fixes\u2014just voice, guitars, bass, and drums, Live In Denmark is a fearless snapshot of Fuchs at her most vulnerable and most powerful. What began as a one-night, high-pressure recording session during her fall Danish tour became a deeply personal turning point<\/p>\n
Fuchs says, \u201cLast fall, I went to Denmark for a mini tour, and my label Ruf Records & my manager decided we should record a live album there. My previous record, Borrowed Time, was under-served because of the pandemic, and this felt like a chance to make things right. But here\u2019s the thing, we had ONE night to capture it. No safety net, no second chances, no fixing anything in post. Just my voice, guitar, bass, and drums, and a short time to mix. I was skeptical, to say the least.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following several challenging years, the performance stands as a cathartic and powerful creative resurgence\u2014raw, honest, and alive in ways Fuchs never expected could be captured on record. She adds, \u201cWhen I finally sat down and listened to what we\u2019d captured, I wept. I remember thinking, \u2018Damn, I wish so many people who have never heard me before could hear this\u2019 and I never feel that way about my own work. To be honest, it\u2019s been a brutal couple of years in many ways, but these hard times have revealed something essential to me, I need to get back to doing what I was born to do, and that is to make music and perform.\u201d<\/p>\n
