Moller &#8211; Maersk<\/a> has taken delivery of the first in a new series of six dual-fuel mid-size container vessels. According to Offshore-Energy.biz, the vessel, named <a href=\"https:\/\/tenders.indexbox.io\/tenders?search=Tangier+Maersk&amp;country=China&amp;start_date=2025-02-05&amp;end_date=2026-02-05\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Tangier Maersk<\/a>, was delivered from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indexbox.io\/store\/china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group&#8217;s yard<\/a> in Jingjiang, China, three months ahead of schedule as part of an order placed in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>On its maiden voyage, the Tangier Maersk will call at Shanghai and enter deployment on Maersk&#8217;s TP15 service, which connects East Asia with the U.S. Gulf Coast via the Panama Canal. &#8220;We are pleased to take delivery of Tangier Maersk, marking the first of six vessels in this new series. Together with the remaining vessels in the series, it will contribute to our ongoing fleet renewal and support our long-term competitiveness,&#8221; said Anda Cristescu, Head of Chartering and Newbuilding at Maersk.<\/p>\n<p>Maersk will take delivery of four additional vessels in the series later this year, followed by the final delivery in early 2027.
