{"id":33779,"date":"2026-03-05T23:24:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T23:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/33779\/"},"modified":"2026-03-05T23:24:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T23:24:15","slug":"official-union-berlins-rani-khedira-to-represent-tunisia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/33779\/","title":{"rendered":"Official: Union Berlin&#8217;s Rani Khedira to represent Tunisia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sky Germany have confirmed that 1.FC Union Berlin midfielder Rani Khedira will represent and play for Tunisia in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Although born in the city of Stuttgart, Khedira&#8217;s father hailed from the north African country thus enabling the switch.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Sky Germany also reports that Rani Khedira could even make his debut in March when Tunisia face Haiti in an international friendly.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old previously represented Germany\u2019s youth national teams from U-15 leven all the way up to the U-19 grade. <\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the Tunisia approached Khedira to represent the nation back in 2015 but at the time he rejected the idea:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a recent inquiry from the Tunisian Football Federation, but I declined. I&#8217;ve been playing for Germany since the U-15 level.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I feel at home in the DFB, I grew up here and I have the German mentality.
