By joining the Tallinn Mechanism, Finland joins likeminded partners in reinforcing Ukraine\u2019s cyber security and resilience while also strengthening Finland\u2019s own role as a committed and trusted actor in international cyber diplomacy,\u201d Elina Valtonen, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe recent expansion of the Tallinn Mechanism marks its transformation from an international initiative supporting Ukraine\u2019s cyber resilience into a genuine platform of strategic solidarity among democratic nations in cyberspace. We warmly welcome Helsinki\u2019s decision to join the Tallinn Mechanism community. The engagement of our Finnish partners, together with Finland\u2019s valuable expertise in cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, and digital governance, will contribute to reinforcing Ukraine\u2019s cyber resilience and will further strengthen the collective capacity of participating nations to develop a coordinated and effective response to malicious activities in cyberspace\u201d,\u00a0emphasized Anton Demokhin, Deputy Foreign Minister, Chief Digital Transformation Officer.<\/p>\n<p>Finland brings strong expertise in digital governance, cybersecurity, and the protection of critical infrastructure. Its participation in the Tallinn Mechanism will enhance international cooperation in countering cyber threats and open new opportunities for sharing technological solutions and experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Tallinn Mechanism is an international initiative that coordinates assistance aimed at strengthening Ukraine\u2019s cyber resilience. Finland\u2019s accession is a strong signal of solidarity and strategic support in cyberspace. The country brings extensive technological expertise and a high level of cyber culture, and its participation enhances our joint potential, opening new opportunities for knowledge exchange and the development of innovative solutions. Through the Tallinn Mechanism, Finland not only supports Ukraine\u2019s digital resilience but also opens avenues for Finnish cyber security companies to contribute their expertise and collaborate in meaningful ways,\u201d Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland noted.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2023, the Tallinn Mechanism is a key tool for international technical assistance in the field of cybersecurity. Current member countries include: Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States \u2014 and now Finland.
