During the rally, participants called for the overthrow of the clerical establishment and voiced support for the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iranian-resistance-units\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">MEK\u2019s Resistance Units<\/a> operating inside Iran. Many described the current moment as a turning point in Iran\u2019s political future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"1238\">In addition, participants welcomed the official announcement of a Provisional Government by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NCRI<\/a>), a coalition of democratic Iranian opposition groups. According to the organizers, this initiative represents a viable democratic alternative for Iran following the death of <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ali Khamenei<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Support for a Democratic Transition in Iran<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1501\">Speakers at the rally rejected both the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">monarchical<\/a> system and the current religious dictatorship. They emphasized that the Iranian people must determine the country\u2019s future through democratic governance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1503\" data-end=\"1842\">Furthermore, the speakers expressed strong support for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/tomorrow-s-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ten-point plan<\/a> proposed by Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the NCRI. They described the plan as a comprehensive framework for a transitional government. The proposal highlights universal suffrage, gender equality, individual freedoms, and the rule of law as key principles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"2183\">Finally, the NCRI\u2019s Provisional Government declaration, issued on February 28, presents a roadmap for transferring sovereignty to the Iranian people. It also calls for dismantling institutions linked to absolute clerical rule.
