{"id":36549,"date":"2026-03-10T02:24:29","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T02:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/36549\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T02:24:29","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T02:24:29","slug":"unesco-and-the-european-union","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/36549\/","title":{"rendered":"UNESCO and the European Union"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since February 2011, the UNESCO Liaison Office in Brussels and UNESCO Representation to the European Union (EU) contributes to represent UNESCO towards the European Institutions, to advocate for UNESCO\u2019s mandate and increase the visibility of UNESCO\u2019s programmes and activities, with the aim of achieving the SDGs through strengthening the UNESCO-EU partnership.<\/p>\n<p>The European Union is one of the first largest donor to UNESCO.\u00a0This unique partnership takes the shape of a wide range of projects undertaken across the world, in particular in the areas of mutual interest covering all UNESCO\u2019s fields of competencies such as culture, education, freedom of expression and equal access to information, environment, water and oceans, as well as a bolstered scope of policy dialogue.
